Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc., a CRH company, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our open pit mining team. The role requires operating dozers, loaders, haul trucks and other heavy equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of experience operating heavy equipment and two to five years in loader operations, with readiness to travel up to 80% to various locations and to work nights or weekends as needed. Comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Two to five years’ experience in loader operations preferred.
• At least three years of experience operating heavy equipment (e.g., Haul Truck, Bulldozer, Excavator).

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment in pit/mining operations.
• Report problems to the supervisor and coordinate with team for daily tasks.
• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and coworkers.
• Use hand signals and stay in contact with coworkers when backing equipment.
• Follow all company policies and OSHA/MSHA safety procedures.
• Assist in training less-experienced employees and perform general labor as needed.
