Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 5 years in Health & Safety or related field.
• Associate’s degree with 3 years in Health & Safety or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of Health & Safety or related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in mining-related discipline with internship experience (or equivalent) in mining or industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Directs employee engagement activities such as risk assessments and safety awareness.
• Leads safety audits and inspects facilities for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Manages Health and Safety functions or projects.
• Trains staff in safety procedures and annual refresher training.
• Inspects and evaluates work, directing remedial actions when needed.
• Participates on cross-functional teams for incident investigations and root cause analysis.
