Qualifications

• Must have leadership experience directing personnel or projects.
• Experience in Health & Safety or related field required or equivalent training.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and safety audits.

Responsibilities

• Directs employee engagement activities such as risk assessments and raising general safety awareness to employees, managers, and other stakeholders.
• Leads safety audits and inspects facilities to ensure safe working environments and regulatory compliance.
• Manages Health and Safety functions or projects.
• Trains staff in safety procedures including specialized safety training.
• Inspects and evaluates work in progress and directs remedial action when needed.
• Participates on cross-functional teams for incident investigations and root cause analyses.
• Accompanies inspections and documents field activities.
• Conducts health and safety orientations and site visits, distributing policy literature.
• May administer workers’ compensation programs and interactions with insurers.
