Qualifications

• Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of mining industry experience.
• Proficiency with geotechnical software for slope stability and modeling.
• Experience with field investigations, lab testing, and data interpretation.
• Knowledge of rock/soil mechanics and hydrogeology.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical site investigations, including drilling, logging, and in-situ testing.
• Analyze geological data to assess slope stability and seismic hazards.
• Develop designs for mine excavations, waste dumps, and tailings facilities.
• Implement and monitor ground support and excavation sequencing.
• Prepare geotechnical reports, presentations and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with mine planning and operations to ensure safe development.
