Job summary

Energy Fuels Inc. is seeking a Technical Services Intern to support underground and surface mining operations across a range of geology and mine engineering tasks.

This paid internship offers hands-on experience in core logging, sampling, mapping, and data interpretation at our La Sal site in Utah. Ideal candidates are students in geology or mining engineering, or recent graduates, who want to apply academic knowledge in a real-world mining environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a related field.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong academic background in geology, mine design, ventilation, rock mechanics, or mineral economics.
• Solid understanding of geological principles and their application in mining contexts.
• Basic understanding of underground mining methods and safety principles.
• Familiarity with geological mapping techniques and interpretation of geological data.
• Exposure to resource estimation, geological modeling, and technical reporting.
• Awareness of geotechnical considerations related to surface and underground mining.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing operational priorities.
• Willingness to work in a remote field setting and adhere to site safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Participate in core logging, core sampling, and other sample collection activities.
• Participate in drill program planning and execution as needed.
• Assist in data interpretation and analysis to support mining and exploration decisions.
• Support underground geological mapping efforts.
• Participate in daily, weekly, and monthly mine planning activities.
• Update mine layouts and stope designs using CAD or 3D modeling software.
