Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. offers a summer internship through Marigold's program for students in geology or related fields. Interns will participate in exploration activities, sampling, drilling support, and data collection at an active mine site in North America.

You will gain hands-on experience with GIS analysis, rock sampling, and mapping while learning QA/QC procedures and safety practices. Qualified candidates are full-time college students in good standing, junior/senior or graduate, pursuing

Qualifications

• Full-time college student majoring in Geology or related field (junior/senior/grad).

Responsibilities

• Assist exploration activities and development drilling programs.
• Assist sampling programs.
• Use handheld GPS receivers.
• Collect rock samples within a sampling grid.
• Catalog and plot results; correlate with geology using GIS.
• Assist drilling activities and logging cuttings/core.
• Assist in processing core.
• Participate in geologic mapping (pit, highwall, road cut).
• Assist with mine-site drilling programs.
• Interpret mineralization and geology contacts on sections/plans.
• Develop a project report for site management at internship end.
• Adhere to safety procedures and best practices.
