Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking a Field Technician for our Elko, NV location. In this onsite role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy mining equipment, ensuring reliability and peak performance.

You will work closely with the service team to minimize downtime and deliver outstanding customer satisfaction. The position offers relocation support, comprehensive benefits, and ongoing training to advance your technical skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Diesel or Heavy Equipment Technology preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on heavy equipment repair or equivalent experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, rebuild, and maintain heavy mining equipment and major components.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and powertrain systems to identify failures and minimize downtime.
• Perform component removal, installation, disassembly, reassembly, testing, and adjustment.
• Conduct inspections and root-cause failure analysis to improve equipment reliability and performance.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and workmanship.
• Follow all company and mine-site safety, contamination control, and HAZMAT procedures.
• Accurately complete work orders, inspections, parts requirements, and repair documentation.
• Communicate repair progress, equipment condition, and technical recommendations with supervisors and customers.
