Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti offers a Metallurgical Engineering Intern position based in Las Vegas, NV or Denver, CO. You will partner with the Processing & Metallurgy team on a core 12-week, project-based assignment, culminating in a technical report and presentation to leadership.

This hands-on internship focuses on metallurgical studies and process flow, with opportunities to learn PFDs, P&IDs, and data analysis in a real project environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate or final-year master’s/PhD in Metallurgical Engineering or related process discipline.
• Foundational understanding of metallurgical testwork, mineral processing, and scale‑up principles.
• Familiarity with gold processing flowsheets (flotation, oxidation, heap leaching) is a plus.
• Strong technical writing, reporting, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own a dedicated 12-week project with timelines and a final technical report/presentation.
• Review engineering deliverables such as PFDs and P&IDs.
• Support technical studies to aid process selection.
• Assist in design, execution, and data analysis of metallurgical programs with the team.
