Job summary

Heidelberg Materials offers an internship opportunity across North America, assisting daily aggregate mining and production operations. You will help ensure safety, environmental compliance, and data-driven improvements while collaborating with plant leadership and cross-functional teams.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support daily aggregate mining and production operations through hands-on field experience.
• Assist with safety, environmental, and operational compliance initiatives.
• Collect, analyze, and report operational data to support continuous improvement efforts.
• Collaborate with plant leadership and cross-functional teams on production and maintenance projects.
• Participate in problem-solving activities that improve operational efficiency, quality, and performance.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in both office and outdoor aggregate mining environments.
• Regular exposure to varying weather conditions, moving equipment, and active production areas.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in designated work areas.
• Moderate walking, standing, climbing, and lifting may be required throughout the internship.
• Travel between operational areas within the site may be necessary.
