Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a MineStar Application Specialist to lead autonomous mining solutions, delivering field-ready, technically sound support and collaborating with customers to optimize operations across sites.

The initial six months are based at the Bagdad Copper Mine in Arizona; after onboarding, the primary work location shifts to the Phoenix office with up to 50% travel to mine sites. You will develop dashboards in Power BI and mentor staff to ensure safe, productive performance.

Qualifications

• Technical expertise in mining technology and MineStar systems.
• Proven on-site field support experience in mining or heavy industry.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide product application expertise to customers on MineStar.
• Consult with sites to optimize mining technology and processes.
• Benchmarks and monitors site performance for continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain dashboards using Power BI.
• Mentor junior staff and train site personnel.
• Review site audits and implement improvement recommendations.
