Job summary

AECOM seeks a Mine Remediation Lead to build and lead a Mine Remediation group across western US (AZ, CA, CO, MT, NM, NV, OR, UT). This full-time role focuses on business development, project execution, and growing a technical team with strong regulatory knowledge, especially under CERCLA and RCRA.

Qualified leaders will mentor staff and uphold safety while delivering compliant, high-quality remediation projects for public and private sectors. US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in relevant engineering or science disciplines +10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency, including 2 years of leadership
• US Citizenship required due to nature of work

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement mine remedial solutions meeting regulatory requirements and protecting health and environment
• Identify growth opportunities, advise on growth strategies and hire to expand the mine remediation practice
• Coordinate diverse technical teams (hydrologists, geochemists, environmental engineers, geotechnical engineers, etc.) to develop remedial solutions
• Review technical work plans and cost estimates; conduct remediation/closure technology evaluations and feasibility studies
• Manage projects technically and financially to meet budget, quality, and schedule
• Develop proposals, project teams, and cost estimates
• Deliver projects and provide technical reviews of regulatory submissions
• Attend site visits to mines to support client relationships, proposals, and project delivery
• Lead business-development activities and client engagement, including marketing leads and conference participation
