Job summary

Carmeuse Lime & Stone Inc in Kentucky is seeking an experienced laborer to support plant and mine operations. Responsibilities include general labor, cleanup of production areas, observing conditions, and reporting nonconformities; you will be trained in entry-level production positions and fill in during vacations and peak periods.

Duties include kiln outage work, handling coal, equipment checks, keeping areas clean, moving materials, and assisting management as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willing to work rotating shifts.
• 5+ years of laborer experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures; capable of writing routine reports and communicating effectively.

Responsibilities

• General plant/mine labor and cleanup of production areas.
• Observe, monitor and report conditions that could lead to product nonconformity or other irregularities.
• Be trained in various entry-level production positions and fill in as needed during vacations, Absences, and increased production demands.
• Perform kiln outage work including refractory; unload/handle coal; report equipment problems to management.
• Complete pre-shift equipment reports when applicable; maintain clean work areas.
