Job summary

Carmeuse is seeking a Seasonal/Temporary General Laborer - Utility to support our production team in Michigan. The role involves general plant labor, cleaning, and assisting with various entry-level production tasks, with overtime and rotating shifts as needed.

Prior millwright experience is a plus but not required. Responsibilities include monitoring conditions to prevent product nonconformity, performing basic equipment operation, and ensuring safe maintenance in alignment with MSHA

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively in both verbal and written form and perform basic math functions.
• Willing and able to work overtime and rotating shifts.
• Basic computer skills required for logging and reporting.
• Perform physical labor safely in noisy, dusty, and other challenging conditions.
• Millwright experience and/or operating equipment is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• General labor and clean-up of production areas.
• Observe, monitor and report conditions that could lead to product nonconformity.
• Operate heavy equipment/machinery in a safe and proper manner.
• Inspect and maintain equipment in compliance with MSHA and company policies.
• Replace or assist other workers as needed or directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
