Job summary

Peabody Energy, Inc. seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee the safe, efficient operation of the mining pits under the Production Manager. You will guide the team to meet production goals while maintaining safety standards.

You will mentor supervisors and hourly staff, set annual goals, oversee training programs with safety and HR, and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental practices across the department.

Qualifications

• Five years of production supervisor experience in a mine setting.
• Formal education in engineering or minimum five years relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safe, efficient operation of mining pits under Production Manager or Team Lead.
• Directly supervise and mentor supervisors and salaried staff in the department.
• Set annual goals and manage career development for supervisory staff.
• Coordinate training programs with Training, Safety, HR to ensure competency.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental practices align with best practices and MSHA standards.
• Align departmental strategy with other production departments to meet production needs.
• Provide leadership on company policies, initiatives, and objectives.
• Oversee Recruitment and selection of hourly employees and salaried supervisors.
• Manage performance and conduct weekly safety audits and safety interactions.
