Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience performing underground coal mining tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to operate computer programs for timekeeping, safety reporting and production data.
• Must hold mine examiner, mine manager, or foreman certification; respirable dust sampling certification or ability to obtain.
• GED or diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production and setup employees and perform mining functions in an underground coal mine.
• Conduct proper examinations as required by State, Federal and Mine policy.
• Direct supervision and coaching of employees for effective performance management.
