Job summary

Technical Professionals Group is seeking a Mine Operations Supervisor I to oversee mining and haulage crews, ensuring material placement for copper processing is safe and cost-efficient. You will drive forecasted tonnage, grade targets, and safety standards on a 24/7 schedule.

The role requires knowledge of the mining process, regulatory compliance, and strong leadership with MS Office proficiency. You will collaborate with HR, safety, and maintenance to meet daily goals and program improvements.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the entire mining process.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal mining and environmental regulations.
• Supervisory/leadership skills required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required.
• Intermediate computer skills utilizing MS Office.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts and holidays (24/7/365 operation).

Responsibilities

• Achieve forecasted tonnage and copper grade for each month.
• Provide training guidance to subordinates to develop new skills.
• Ensure production goals are met cost-effectively without compromising safety.
• Operate mine equipment safely and efficiently.
• Communicate goals and KPIs and monitor progress.
• Administer overtime and attendance per policy.
