Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking a geoscience/engineering professional to support underground mining operations in Crab Orchard, TN. The role involves surveying, ground control, data collection, QC sampling, and coordinating with quality and safety teams to ensure ore control and horizon alignment.

You will work with engineers and mine managers to develop short- and long-term plans, update mine maps, and participate in the Mine Rescue Team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in geology, mining, or related engineering/technical degree or equivalent experience.
• Preferred BS/MS in Mining Engineering or Geology.

Responsibilities

• Survey and map for mining operations and ground control.
• Collect and analyze QC samples and geologic data.
• Support mine planning, horizon control, and safety programs.
• Maintain mine production databases and maps.
• Participate in Mine Rescue Team activities.
