Job summary

Etched in San Jose Milpitas area is hiring for an Inventory Site Lead who will own inventory for production, labs and contract manufacturers. You will supervise the Milpitas Inventory team and ensure accurate records of on-hand, allocated, in-transit and consigned items, while coordinating with SMT, Procurement, Engineering and Finance.

This working-lead role sets the standard, builds SOPs, and works hands-on on counts, receipts, and investigations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of inventory or warehouse operations experience in manufacturing or electronics.
• Hands-on experience with SAP, NetSuite or comparable ERP for receiving, transfers, cycle counts and inventory adjustments.
• Experience managing inventory and leading a team: setting priorities, scheduling, training and enforcing standards.
• Proficient in Excel: lookups, pivot tables and building a clean weekly report from transaction data.
• Experience running cycle-count programs and investigating variances to root cause.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain and Operations teams.
• Comfortable on the floor: ESD-controlled areas, lifting up to 50 lb, and standing for extended periods.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation between San Jose and Milpitas.

Responsibilities

• Team leadership: supervise the Milpitas Inventory team, set priorities, schedule shifts, and train new coordinators.
• Receiving and material handling: own end-to-end receiving in ERP, inspect quantities, label, put-away and route materials.
• Inventory control: maintain on-hand balances, run cycle counts, investigate variances to root cause and close gaps.
• Kitting and internal fulfillment: ensure kits are complete per BOM and staged on time; support engineers on parts.
• Warehouse operations and safety: maintain clean, safe spaces and enforce ESD and safety programs.
• Processes: write and maintain SOPs for receiving, transfers, consignment, RMA, scrap, and labeling improvements.
• Scaling: plan space, staffing and systems for higher volumes and new production lines.
