Job summary

Canfor is seeking a Millwright for our Camden, SC sawmill on a permanent, full-time 1st shift with occasional weekend work. You will maintain pumps, conveyors, compressors, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems to keep production running.

You’ll perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, request parts, and uphold a safe, reliable operation. Collaboration with maintenance and operations teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Superior troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot machinery components.
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems in heavy manufacturing equipment.
• Experience using a CMMS to schedule and document maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Working with a high-performance team to maintain mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers & chains, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Performing preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance to keep systems running smoothly.
• Troubleshooting issues, boosting equipment reliability, and implementing safe, reliable fixes to maximize uptime.
• Identifying and requesting parts to complete repairs in a timely manner.
• Maintaining a safe work environment and supporting safety initiatives.
