Job summary

Canfor is seeking a Millwright for our Camden, SC sawmill to maintain and repair mill machinery, including pumps, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems. The role features a 2nd shift with a rotating schedule that may include weekends, and an emphasis on safety and reliability to keep production running at peak performance.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting skills in industrial maintenance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus.
• Basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery components.
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems on heavy manufacturing machinery.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers and chains, bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic components.
• Perform preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance to keep systems running smoothly.
• Troubleshoot issues to boost equipment reliability and maximize production uptime.
• Identify and request parts for timely repairs and document maintenance appropriately.
• Support a safe work environment through proactive maintenance and adherence to safety protocols.
