Job summary

Canfor’s Camden, SC sawmill is seeking a Millwright to keep pumps, conveyors, compressors, rollers, bearings and hydraulic/pneumatic systems running on our 1st shift. You will troubleshoot, diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, collaborating with a high-performance maintenance team to maximize production uptime in a demanding manufacturing environment.

This permanent, full-time role emphasizes safety and sustainability.

Qualifications

Proven troubleshooting skills for complex mechanical issues.
Experience in manufacturing/industrial environments; lumber process knowledge is a plus.
Basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery.
Understanding of hydraulic/pneumatic systems on heavy manufacturing equipment.
Experience using a CMMS to schedule and document maintenance.

Responsibilities

Maintain mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, rollers, bearings and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Perform preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance; inspect equipment for irregularities and malfunctions.
Troubleshoot issues to boost reliability and maximize uptime.
Identify parts needed and request replacements to complete repairs promptly.
Contribute to a safe work environment.
