Job summary

Canfor is seeking a Millwright for our Sawmill in Deridder, LA. You will maintain all mill machinery, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers and bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic components involved in the manufacturing process.

You will perform preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance to keep systems running smoothly, troubleshoot to boost reliability and uptime, document activities with CMMS, and work closely with operations and supervisors on a rotating

Qualifications

• Superior troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in manufacturing and/or industrial environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of lumber manufacturing processes is an asset.
• Basic electrical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery components.
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems on heavy manufacturing machinery.
• Experience using a CMMS to schedule and document maintenance activities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team with maintenance, operations, production staff and supervisors.
• High degree of urgency and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mill machinery including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers & bearings, and hydraulic/pneumatic components.
