Job summary

Canfor's Iron Mountain Sawmill in Deridder, LA is seeking an experienced Electrician to maintain and repair electrical systems, machinery, and equipment. You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support safe, efficient operations on a fast-moving production line.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in industrial electrical roles, strong knowledge of blueprints and schematics, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician, preferably in a sawmill or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics. Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Commitment to safety and ability to follow strict safety protocols.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and in a team.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus, knowledge of lumber processes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure top condition.
• Diagnose and repair electrical problems promptly to minimize downtime.
• Install new electrical systems, machinery, and equipment as needed.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with safety regulations.
