Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an experienced Millwright to support our Warrenton, GA lumber facility. You will work on critical production equipment, diagnose mechanical issues, and drive reliability across the mill. The role offers strong pay, long-term stability, and growth in a large-scale manufacturing environment.

Starting pay ranges from $34+ per hour, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus and retention-based bonuses. Overtime opportunities are common based on needs.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in wood products or three years of industrial maintenance in a manufacturing, production, or military environment.
• Experience reading blueprints and performing precision measurements.
• Experience troubleshooting rotating equipment including bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including reading hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Support high-speed manufacturing equipment including conveyors, motors, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and automated production lines.
• Perform reliability and maintenance work on heavy industrial machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance aligned with the facility's maintenance strategy.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures, identify root causes, and implement effective repairs.
• Partner with operations to prioritize maintenance needs and improve equipment performance.
• Follow all plant safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Work in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to twelve (12) hours per shift.
• Communicate effectively with crane operators using standard hand signals.
• Work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required by the operation.
