The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience with industrial equipment, especially in sawmills, and be proficient in welding, blueprints, and preventive maintenance. Candidates must be safety-focused and team-oriented.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience maintaining industrial equipment, preferably in sawmills.
• Ability to read mechanical schematics and blueprints.
• Proficient welding and fabrication for repairs.
• Strong problem-solving and downtime reduction abilities.
• Ability to work with conveyors, saws, kilns, and related mill equipment.
• Commitment to safety and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Review production, safety, and quality processes regularly.
• Provide day-to-day maintenance support and troubleshooting for machinery.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and diagnostics on mill equipment.
• Maintain records, reports, and parts inventories for maintenance.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure efficient operation.
• Work with operators to improve equipment performance.
• Uphold safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Educate maintenance and operations staff on safety practices.
• Suggest improvements to strengthen continuous improvement efforts.
• Test equipment performance and propose modifications.
• Install, maintain, repair, upgrade, and troubleshoot mill machinery.
