Job summary
Freres Wood in Lyons, OR is seeking a Millwright for our plywood and veneer operation. The role involves installing, repairing and maintaining a range of production machinery, troubleshooting downtime, and ensuring safe, efficient operation across the Lyons/Mill City locations.
The ideal candidate has five years in an industrial setting, strong skills in alignment, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication and belt/conveyor systems, and the ability to read blueprints and layouts.
Qualifications
- Five years in a similar industrial environment.
- Experience with job planning, machine center alignment, cutting/welding, bearings pneumatic/lubrication analysis and vibration analysis.
- Ability to install machinery according to layout plans, blue prints, and other drawings, and whistle chasing; able to perform labor-intensive work.
- Proficient in hand and power tools as well as precision measuring and testing equipment; experienced with hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot downtime events and restore to safe operating condition.
- Perform lubrication, maintenance planning and weld as required.
