Job summary

INEOS Olefins & Polymers USA in Alvin, TX is seeking a Millwright Mechanical Apprentice to train with an experienced Maintenance Technician as part of the maintenance team.

This full-time, hourly role focuses on reading schematics, monitoring machinery, learning safety practices, and supporting technicians during peak periods while pursuing an AAS in Industrial Maintenance Technology or a Level II Millwright/Machinist program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Enrolled in a 2-year AAS in Industrial Maintenance Technology or Level II Millwright/Machinist program.
• Completed at least one semester of study.

Responsibilities

• Begin training on initial job assignment with manuals and schematics.
• Support other technicians during high workload periods.
• Monitor normal machinery operating conditions.
• Climb equipment when necessary (towers, drums, reactors, etc.).
• Troubleshoot abnormal machinery operations or faults.
• Learn about safety, health and environmental hazards.
• Utilize the work permit system.
• Other duties as assigned.
