Job summary

Boise Cascade in the United States is seeking a full-time Production team member. The role involves receiving, loading, operating a forklift, and ensuring order accuracy while providing basic customer service.

You will work with a team to fulfill orders, maintain a clean area, and follow OSHA safety procedures. Prior forklift experience and the ability to handle physical tasks are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years equivalent experience.
  • Able to understand and follow safety/work instructions.
  • Comfortable with physical work in all weather conditions.
  • Forklift experience (sit-down/counterbalance).
  • Familiarity with millwork.
  • Experience using an inventory control scanner (RFN).
  • Able to measure and calculate material lengths.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, select, and load materials.
  • Operate forklift safely and efficiently.
  • Verify accuracy of orders after packaging and loading.
  • Provide basic customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Work with other team members to fulfill orders and complete tasks daily.
  • Maintain clean working area.
  • Follow all safety procedures (OSHA compliance).
  • Perform daily safety checks on forklifts.
  • Perform basic maintenance to assigned motorized equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

Basic:

  • High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years equivalent experience

Preferred:

  • Forklift experience (sit-down/counterbalance)
  • Familiarity with millwork
  • Experience utilizing an inventory control scanner (RFN)
  • Able to measure and calculate material lengths

Physical:

  • Able to move door slabs up to 50 pounds repeatedly
  • Able to handle pre-hung units up to 100 pounds
  • Work in tandem using safe lifting practices
  • High traffic warehouse and shop
  • Repetitive physical motion
