Job summary

Boise Cascade has an exciting opening for a Material Handler [Forklift Operator]. You will receive, select, and load materials and operate a forklift safely while meeting order accuracy. This on-site role focuses on efficiency, safety, and teamwork in a busy warehouse environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to work outdoors in all weather, and familiarity with basic hand tools. Training on OSHA procedures and daily forklift checks is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years equivalent experience.
• Able to understand and follow safety/work instructions.
• Comfortable with physical work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to use hand tools and chainsaw.

Responsibilities

• Receive, select, and load materials.
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently.
• Verify accuracy of orders after packaging and loading.
• Provide basic customer service to internal and external customers.
• Work with other team members to fulfill orders and complete tasks daily.
• Maintain clean working area.
• Follow all safety procedures (OSHA compliance).
• Perform daily safety checks on forklifts.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Familiarity with building materials
  • Able to measure and calculate material lengths

• Physically demanding; outdoors in all weather conditions
