Job summary

Boise Cascade is hiring a Millwork Assembler in Kansas City, MO. You will assemble interior and exterior doors, operate multiple machine centers, and verify order accuracy against materials and instructions.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, reads tape measures, and follows safety protocols. Preferred experience includes millwork familiarity, RF scanners, and CNC equipment to support a busy production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years equivalent experience.
• Able to understand and follow safety/work instructions.
• Ability to read tape measurements.

Responsibilities

• Performs assembly of interior and exterior doors.
• Work at various machine centers as needed.
• Verify accuracy of work orders to materials and assembly instructions.
• Provide basic customer service to internal and external customers.
• Inspects all materials for defects and appropriate quality/condition.
• Work with other team members to fulfill orders and complete tasks daily.
• Maintain clean working area.
• Follow all safety procedures (OSHA compliance).
• Engages in all required safety programs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities

• Performs assembly of interior and exterior doors
• Work at various machine centers as needed

Requirements

Basic

• High school diploma, GED, or 2+ years equivalent experience
• Able to understand and follow safety/work instructions
• Ability to read tape measurements

Preferred

• Familiarity with millwork
• Experience utilizing an inventory control scanner (RFN)
• Prior experience with manufacturing equipment such as CNC machines

Physical

• Ability to stand during the entire work shift
• Work in tandem using safe lifting practices
• Continuously lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Repetitive physical motion
• High traffic warehouse and shop
• Work in a loud environment and wear the provided personal protective equipment.
