Job summary

Doug Ashy Building Materials is looking for an Inside Sales Representative for the Millwork Department. In this role, you'll provide outstanding customer service by assisting contractors and homeowners with selections and managing orders.

You’ll interpret blueprints, prepare quotes, and ensure customer satisfaction by coordinating closely with vendors and internal teams. Ideal candidates will have sales or building materials experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service mindset to build trust and long-term relationships.
• Clear and professional communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and construction drawings preferred.
• Basic math skills for dimensions and material quantities.
• Proficiency with computers and ability to learn various systems.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Prior experience in millwork, construction, or retail preferred.
• Comfortable performing light physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with selecting millwork products.
• Prepare detailed quotes and estimates for projects.
• Manage special orders and custom millwork requests.
• Maintain strong product knowledge of millwork products.
• Collaborate with outside sales representatives.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate discrepancies.
• Maintain an organized showroom and work area.
