Job summary

This role supports both pre- and post-bid activities, including pricing, clarifications, and handoffs, requiring strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Bluebeam, with strong document management skills.
• In-depth knowledge of millwork, cabinetry materials, and AWI standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specs.
• Experience collaborating with sales teams and customers to maintain a client base.
• Familiarity with FSC and LEED sustainability standards.
• 3–5 years estimating experience in millwork, cabinetry, or commercial construction.

Responsibilities

• Review bid documents and determine project scope.
• Perform detailed material takeoffs per SOPs.
• Obtain material pricing from internal and external sources.
• Collaborate with management, production and other departments on constructibility and budget.
• Calculate final bid pricing including materials, production, shipping, and related costs.
• Respond to RFIs and scope questions with customers.
• Attend bid handoff meetings and present bids to teams.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors for pricing.
• Distribute bidding documents to vendors for pricing.
• Meet bid deadlines and coordinate estimating tasks.
• Maintain communication with sales and customers throughout bidding and project lifecycle.
• Support a safe, organized work environment per safety policies.
