Job summary

U.S. Sugar is seeking personnel for a rotating-shift role in Milling operations. You will clean and maintain the milling area, operate supporting equipment and assist Milling personnel as needed, with overtime on weekends and holidays.

Ideal candidates will be able to pass health, safety and drug screenings, read and speak English, and obtain forklift certification within 30 days of hire. The role emphasizes safety and independent work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Must pass Company-designated tests measuring basic skills and aptitude.
• Must be 18 years or older with a good work record.
• Must read, write and speak English to comprehend instructions and communicate on the job.
• New hires must pass a drug test and pre-employment background screening.
• Forklift certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and transport waste and materials using hand and power tools and equipment.
• Operate forklift, man-lift and other heavy equipment as needed.
• Follow all Company policies and comply with Health, Safety and Operations regulations.
• Complete training sessions, safety classes and pre-shift meetings.
• Pass pulmonary function test as required.
