Job summary

United States Sugar Corporation in Clewiston is seeking a production worker to maintain a sanitary food-grade environment and ensure continuous production. You will operate multiple pieces of equipment and follow CGMP guidelines to keep the area clean and safe.

Must be able to read, write and speak English, pass background and drug tests, and obtain forklift certification within 30 days. Periodic overtime and labor during off-crop may be required.

Qualifications

• Must pass Company tests measuring basic skills and interests.
• Must be 18+ years old with a clean work record.
• Able to read, write and speak English to follow instructions and communicate safely.
• New hires must pass drug tests and pre-employment screenings.
• Forklift certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Abide by all Company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in training sessions, safety classes, and certifications.
• Inspect, operate, and maintain bailer, forklift, yard dog, dump truck, MRS, loader, and wrapper.
• Inspect and clean product areas before/after loading to ensure quality.
• Learn and implement CGMP.
• Operate touch-screen equipment, computers, printers, scanners and related tech.
