Rogers Group, Inc. in Greer, SC, is seeking a Milling Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate milling machines and related heavy equipment and to prepare surfaces for paving. Starting pay is $21 per hour.

This full-time role requires working various shifts, including nights and weekends, with a strong safety mindset, valid driver’s license, and ability to perform physical labor outdoors in extreme weather. The company offers comprehensive benefits and a drug-free work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years of asphalt milling or asphalt crew experience.
• Solid understanding of the milling and surface preparation process.
• Experience operating heavy equipment such as milling machines, skid steers, and brooms.
• Familiarity with road construction environments; MUTCD experience a plus.
• Must pass pre-employment drug testing.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willing to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform physical labor outdoors in extreme heat or cold.

Responsabilités

• Safely operate asphalt milling machines and heavy equipment.
• Operate broom and skid steer to prep milled surfaces.
• Perform daily pre- and post-operation inspections and maintenance.
• Assist with general labor around mill and jobsite.
• Communicate clearly with crew to ensure safe operations.
• Maintain safety around equipment.
• Prepare milled surfaces for paving.
• Follow company policies and regulations.
• Work as part of a team to meet production and safety goals.
