Job summary

UNITED MACHINING is seeking a skilled Applications/Milling specialist to train dealers, customers, and staff on safe, efficient operation of high-speed milling machines. You will run test cuts, analyze performance, and support pre-sale demos and trade shows.

You will work closely with Sales and Applications teams, review RFQs, and provide technical phone support while maintaining demo centers and distributing documentation. A 4-year degree and 3–5 years’ experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years' experience in High-Speed Milling and Tool Making/Precision manufacturing
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficient CAM programming with Turbosoft+, Concepts NREC, Siemens NX, ProE, SolidWorks, Mastercam, Hypermill, EdgeCAM or PowerMill
• Familiar with Heidenhain and Siemens CNC controls
• Experience with Great Plains or similar software (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Develop and conduct training programs for dealers, customers, and staff on machine operation
• Perform test cuts to analyze machine performance and reduce deficiencies
• Coordinate pre-sale demonstrations and support trade shows and open houses
• Respond to applications requests and provide technical support
• Maintain demonstration centers and advise on needed equipment
• Distribute technical documentation to dealers, customers, and staff
• Participate in meetings and trainings to stay updated
