Job summary

Cullerton Group in Huntersville, NC is seeking an Applications Engineer - Milling to deliver high‑quality applications support and training to customers, distributors and internal sales teams. This is a permanent, onsite role with up to 50% travel and a base salary of $90k–$120k plus bonus and full benefits.

You'll lead machine demonstrations, milling studies, and process optimization, supporting pre‑sales activities, RFQ evaluation, and technical troubleshooting to ensure customer success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in high-speed milling or related manufacturing role.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver training programs for dealers, customers, and internal personnel on milling equipment.
• Perform test cuts and evaluate machine performance to improve results.
• Conduct machining studies, production evaluations, and machine demonstrations.
• Support pre-sale activities including demonstrations, trade shows, and open houses.
• Evaluate RFQs and turnkey manufacturing solutions for technical feasibility.
• Provide technical support by phone and other channels to diagnose issues.
• Maintain demonstration facilities and equipment in good condition.
• Create and distribute technical documentation for customers and internal teams.
• Attend meetings, training sessions, and industry events to stay current on technologies.
