Qualifications

• Post high school education is required.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience; 1–3 years in people management.
• Strong communication skills; speak clearly, engage listeners, and ask pertinent questions.
• Proficiency in operating Inside UFPI with policy training and navigation.
• Proficient in searching topics, using Citrix, and maintaining email etiquette.
• Expertise in the Precise Plant Quality Program and quality training.
• Attention to detail in production data, reporting, and double-checks.
• Maintains routine while being organized for flexible periods.
• Effective daily communication with employees and accountability.
• Commitment to safety; work with safety leaders on JDA/JSA.
• Training in machine audits, LOTO, and safety improvements.
• Knowledge of CI, including 5S and TPM, and communicating their value.
• Technical knowledge of machinery and maintenance staff relationships.
• Understanding preventative maintenance and standard work instructions.
• Daily feedback and potential advancement based on performance.
• Training employees with clear safety guidance.
• Self-awareness to reflect and improve.
• Forklift Driver licensing completed.

Responsibilities

• Manages the production operation of multiple departments and shifts.
• Motivates a group of employees for maximum productivity.
• Identifies, researches, and resolves production problems and opportunities.
• Evaluates performance of individuals and programs.
• Coaches and counsels employees.
• Ensures activities align with UFP policies, procedures, and law.
• Communicates with employees and management as required.
• Manages department cost and profitability.
• Oversees department inventory.
• Leads CI and safety initiatives among staff.
• Prepares reports and maintains records.
• Participates in Safety Committee and ensures safety standards.
