Job summary

UFP Industries, Inc. is seeking a Production Department Supervisor to oversee its department, align operations with cost, profit and production goals, and train and develop staff using seasoned judgment.

You will manage multiple shifts, coach employees, drive continuous improvement and safety initiatives, control costs and maintain department inventory while communicating with leadership. Pay begins at $25+ per hour DOE.

Qualifications

• Post high school education required.
• 3–5 years manufacturing experience; 1–3 years managing people.
• Experience setting agendas, time frames, and using visual aids.
• Strong communication and accountability for safety and production goals.
• Familiarity with JDA, JSA, LOTO, CI programs, and TPM/5S.

Responsibilities

• Oversee production operation of multiple departments and shifts.
• Coach and counsel employees; evaluate performance and drive productivity.
• Manage costs, inventory, and department safety initiatives.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts and prepare reports.
• Ensure compliance with policies and applicable laws.
