Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Production Department Supervisor to oversee multiple departments and shifts, drive productivity, and uphold safety and quality standards. The role emphasizes training, coaching, and aligning operations with cost and production goals.

Qualified candidates have 3–5 years manufacturing experience, 1–3 years in people leadership, and strong communication skills. Forklift certification may be required; familiarity with Inside UFPI, Citrix, and CI principles is preferred.

Qualifications

• Post high school education is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing.
• 1–3 years of experience managing people.
• Demonstrated ability to set up and manage agendas with clear time frames.
• Strong communication skills and clear, precise speaking.
• Proficiency in operating Inside UFPI and understanding policy training.
• Skilled in using Citrix and maintaining email etiquette.
• Knowledge of CI, 5S and TPM; able to explain benefits before implementation.
• Attention to detail; double-check systems and reports.
• Ability to train employees and conduct reviews; forklift licensing may be required.

• Manages the production operation of multiple departments and shifts.
• Directs a group of employees and motivates for maximum productivity.
• Identifies and resolves problems and opportunities.
• Evaluates performance and coaches staff.
• Maintains compliance with policies, procedures and laws.

• Prepares reports and maintains records.
