Job summary
StaffSource is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a paper mill role focused on the mill's electrical power-distribution system, reliability, and infrastructure. You will work directly with the mill's electrical power provider and develop capital projects involving electrical distribution, drives, motors, PLCs, motor controls and MCCs.
Key responsibilities include leading reliability initiatives, updating safety procedures, and coordinating outages.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
- 5-7 years manufacturing or power-distribution experience.
- 3+ years AC variable-speed drive experience.
- Proficiency with modern PC/Office software.
- AutoCAD proficiency and experience.
Responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize and implement improvements to the power distribution network.
- Develop capital improvements for paper machines and supporting equipment.
- Lead reliability and asset-management improvements.
- Ensure proper electrical standards, specifications and safety practices.
- Coordinate with mill operations, contractors and providers.
- Provide technical leadership around AC variable-speed drives.
- Participate in or lead problem-solving events.
- Update electrical safety procedures and participate in outages.
