Orion Steel Group, L.L.C. in Pueblo, CO is seeking skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technicians to support our heavy industrial mills and maintain critical equipment.

Candidates should have completed an apprenticeship or equivalent training across Boilermaker, Millwright, Pipefitter, or Welder, and be committed to mastering all four crafts while ensuring safety and reliability in daily operations. Positions include Trainee, Assistant, and Standard levels with full-time hours and opportunity for

Qualifications

• Completed a recognized apprenticeship in one of the four trades or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Two-year associate degree or two years’ experience for Assistant level.
• Apprenticeship or equivalent training in Boilermaker, Millwright, Pipefitter or Welder.
• 1–3 years of experience as a mechanical maintenance technician in heavy industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance across the mill including preventive and predictive activities.
• Complete training to become skilled in all four crafts for the role.
• Work with shop machines, equipment, structures, and safety gear.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE, and LOTO requirements.
• Operate overhead cranes as needed.
