Job summary

Orion Steel Group, L.L.C. in Pueblo, Colorado, seeks a Mill Electrical Technician Assistant to join our plant.

The MET Assistant provides electrical, electronic and combustion-instrumentation maintenance to all areas of the mill in a safe and efficient manner under the supervision of the Maintenance Superintendent. Open to candidates with an Associates Degree or 2 years of experience; training to become skilled in three crafts and OSHA-10 certification will be provided.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or 2 years of experience in applicable field.
• Strong troubleshooting, repair and installation skills.
• Must be a self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, dismantle, assemble and install equipment throughout the mill.
• Work with Electric Shop, Combustion Lab and Electronic Shop equipment and tools.
• Observe lockout procedures and maintain safe work environment.
• Operate overhead cranes and assist maintenance personnel as needed.
