Job summary

Colonial Group in Minnesota seeks a maintenance planner to plan and schedule mechanical maintenance work orders and plant shutdowns, including coordinating parts, manpower, and contractor services.

The role requires 3–5 years in an industrial setting, a bachelor’s in engineering preferred, strong leadership, and proficiency with MS Office tools. Weekend/on-call duties may apply as needed.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in paper, pulp and power related function.
• Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to lead teams effectively.
• Problem solving and ability to implement change positively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Procures maintenance materials and manages shipment and delivery to vendors for rebuilds and repairs.
• Manages maintenance costs and communicates budget overruns with justification when exceeding budget.
• Active participant in a maintenance and production team to maximize equipment production and availability.
• Schedules and leads maintenance shutdown planning meetings to meet mill objectives.
• Covers for area mechanical supervision during vacations and absences or when necessary.
• Willing to put in necessary time and be on-call on weekends as maintenance needs require.
