Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in an industrial setting (paper, pulp, and power related function).
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead effective teams.
• Problem solving with the ability to implement change.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Plans and schedules execution of mechanical maintenance work orders and scheduled shutdowns, including ordering parts and materials, scheduling mill manpower, and detailing events in Microsoft Project.
• Procures maintenance materials and equipment; manages shipment to vendors for rebuilds and repairs.
• Manages maintenance costs and communicates to management when costs may exceed budget, providing justification when they do.
• Active participant in a maintenance and production team to maximize equipment production and availability.
• Schedules and leads maintenance shutdown planning meetings to meet mill objectives.
• Covers for area mechanical supervision during vacations, absences, or other needs; may require on-call reporting.
