Job summary

The Hourly Maintenance Planner role at Weyerhaeuser in Magnolia, MS is responsible for planning and scheduling maintenance in a defined mill area. You will review work orders for completeness, priority, and accuracy, and estimate required craftspeople, hours, and materials to execute maintenance efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years' experience as a maintenance planner.
• Thorough knowledge of plant/mill operations and maintenance costs.
• Exposure to purchasing activities in an industrial setting.
• Ability to promote teamwork and excellent organizational skills.
• Initiative to work with minimal supervision; strong planning ability.
• Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and oral communication; ability to interact with mill leadership.
• Ability to perform in an industrial environment including stairs, heat and cold.
• Willingness to support a 24/7 operating environment including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule maintenance for all production areas.
• Review work orders for completeness and priority validity.
• Estimate steps, craftsperson hours and materials from orders.
• Coordinate with maintenance and production teams for process improvements.
• Contribute to Work Management SMP and other SMPs as needed.
• Monitor cost/budget adherence and provide input for improvements.
• Promote adherence to safety standards and environmental initiatives.
• Interact with operations and maintenance staff to improve mill operations.
• Be available to support additional mill functions as required.
