Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited on-site in Alaska is seeking a MillMaintenance Planner to ensure routine maintenance is scheduled and resourced to minimise downtime and maximise equipment reliability between planned tasks. You will coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Warehouse and vendors to schedule downtime, plan preventive maintenance, and ensure parts availability.

This role requires 4+ years in mechanical/electrical planning with CMMS experience and a focus on safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• Mining industry fixed plant planning and scheduling experience.
• Minimum 4 years practical experience in mechanical/electrical planning or related field.
• Be able to pass a background check and post offer physical.

Responsibilities

• Maintain work order status from creation to closure with notes and codes.
• Organize and schedule downtime with Operations, Maintenance, Warehouse and vendors.
• Plan and schedule preventive maintenance and repairs with maintenance teams.
• Ensure correct parts are staged for scheduled maintenance and back-log repairs.
• Create and update preventive maintenance schedules and related documents.
• Generate purchase requisitions and code to correct work orders.
• Coordinate with vendors and warehousing for stock availability and pricing.
• Prepare weekly PM/backlog reports for multiple crews and conduct scheduling meetings.
• Direct ordering of parts/equipment essential to complete assigned work.
• Maintain records and archive files; ensure MSHA compliance and safety procedures.
