Job summary

Orion Steel Group LLC in Pueblo, Colorado is seeking a Mill Electrical Technician (MET) to provide electrical, electronic and combustion-instrumentation maintenance across the mill. You will troubleshoot, repair, install and service equipment, work with multiple shops, and follow safety procedures.

The role requires apprenticeship in one of three crafts or equivalent, 1–3 years of heavy industry electrical experience, and a Colorado license.

Qualifications

• Must have completed or have the equivalence of a craft apprenticeship in one of the three specified trades.
• 1–3 years of experience as an electrician in heavy industry or related field.
• Valid Colorado license and mobile equipment qualification.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair and install equipment across the mill.
• Operate and work with Electric Shop, Combustion Lab, and Electronic Shop equipment.
• Observe lockout procedures and maintain a safe work area.
• Assist maintenance personnel and handle routine maintenance tasks.
• Operate overhead cranes as needed.
• Work in various environmental conditions and maintain certifications.
