Job summary

ND Paper, headquartered in Rumford, Maine, seeks a Buyer II to manage mill-based procurement. This on-site role focuses on selecting suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring material availability to support continuous operations.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in a related field with 1–3 years of experience in purchasing within a manufacturing setting, plus ERP/MRP exposure. You’ll collaborate across mill teams and uphold DOA limits and policy requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
1–3 years of purchasing, supply chain, or manufacturing experience.
ERP/MRP system experience preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Execute day-to-day purchasing decisions to support mill operations within defined category strategies and DOA limits.
Collaborate with Operations, Planning, Maintenance and approved suppliers to ensure supply continuity.
Negotiate pricing, delivery timing, and MOQs within guardrails and monitor supplier performance.
Adhere to procurement policies and maintain accurate documentation for audits and compliance.
