Job summary

Ralliant seeks a Buyer II in Fairport, NY to manage purchasing for assigned production cells and support MRR/ECN processes. You will drive strategic pricing initiatives, negotiate with vendors, and maintain supplier relationships while ensuring inventory levels and on-time orders.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain and 3–5 years in purchasing or planning within lean manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in production leadership, planning, purchasing, or related supply chain function.
• Lean manufacturing experience.
• Experience in scheduling or planning in lean environments.
• Strong supplier relationship management and negotiations.
• Knowledge of Oracle transactions and processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the purchasing process for assigned production cells.
• Support supplier MRR and ECN processes.
• Identify and remove production roadblocks.
• Execute strategic pricing and cost-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Forecast demand for materials and services and place purchase orders.
• Act as point of contact for vendors on order acknowledgments and confirmations.
• Maintain and update order promise dates.
• Resolve pricing discrepancies with vendors.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels to avoid shortages and excesses.
• Ensure purchasing activities comply with laws and ethics.
• Participate in lean initiatives for cost savings.
